Today's work out was 400m run and 25 burpees for 2 rounds. I have been trying to go for a goal when starting a work out to push myself more. Looking at this work out I thought it would take me around 10 minutes. I actually felt that if I did better than 10 minutes I would be doing well. I knew this particular work out would be a sprint because of the short distance and the short number of rounds. I started the timer and just pushed myself. The first run was solid and I immediately started the 25 burpees. I got through 15 rested 5 seconds and then finished the last 10. The run back might have been a bit slower, but I was able to kick up the speed at the last 200m. I went right to doing the burpees and rocked out 10 and then brought up my stopwatch. I was only just hitting 7 min! I pushed through the last 15 and my completed time was 8:34. Almost a minute and a half shorter timeframe than I thought!
Needless to say I have been on cloud nine for the rest of the day. Love starting my mornings with cross fit!
