This was a work out I was a bit worried about because I thought I would be really slow. The nice thing is that I was faster than I thought. So to explain further the work out was to run 400 meters eight times with a 90 second rest between sprints. The idea is to keep my time as consistent as possible. My approach to this work out was to have a strong pace on the first round, not an all out sprint, and then work to maintain that time. Below was how it turned out.
R1: 1:47
R2: 1:46
R3: 1:51
R4: 1:45
R5: 1:49
R6: 1:50
R7: 1:57
R8: 1:45
Other than Round 7 I feel like I really kept my mind in the right place. I laid out on the drive way during each 90 second rest to recover as soon as easily as possible. I would love to eventually get a 1:45 consistency on the time and then start working down further from there. Like all Crossfit workouts the mind games you have to play to keep going are so important. I am trying to keep this in mind as tomorrow's work out is going to be long and intense. Be looking for my post tomorrow.
This is where the fun begins,
-Chris
