Up against a wall.

This last Sunday I put some numbers to my physical goals I want to meet by December 31st 2010. I am going to be at 175-180 lbs, 33 waist, run 3 miles in 25 min, and be able to do 10 pull-ups. I weighed myself after making these goals and I got a bit of a gut check. I am currently weighing 250lbs, which means I will need to loss 70 lbs by the end of the year. Honestly it felt a bit daunting, but I also remember that I am not working toward a goal I have not been at before. I maintained that weight in high school and I know I can get back to that again. I have more knowledge now and I have more control of what food I eat and can have in the house.
When I worked at University of Phoenix I remember my manager, Justin Hogge, telling me that even though I was a bit behind on my numbers for the month he knew I could do it because I worked at my best under pressure. These goals I know will not be easy and will take more focus and drive than I have been giving in my workouts. I know that I can do this. There is no getting around or avoiding these goals. There is only through, right through to becoming the best self I can be. My back is against the wall and I am ready to FIGHT!
